Amplify The Sip is a digital publication and newsletter from The Sip Collective — a Mississippi-based storytelling organization reimagining how people connect to place, culture, and one another.
We blend journalism, design, and community engagement to tell stories that do more than inform — they build connection, pride, and belonging. Each issue explores a theme rooted in the South’s people, places, and creative spirit, blending original reporting, photography, and music to show how stories can live beyond the page.
Our work grows from decades of experience leading storytelling and cultural projects across Mississippi — from front porches to museum galleries, from local newsrooms to statewide collaborations.
Together, through storytelling, we’re helping people feel connected — to each other, to their communities, and to Mississippi itself.

Lauchlin Fields
Founder/Publisher
Lauchlin Fields is the founder and Chief Visionary Officer of LF Voices Collective and publisher of The Sip Collective. A former journalist, magazine publisher, and audience director, she believes stories can connect people and spark change.
Jim Beaugez
Director of Content
A Mississippi-based writer and storyteller, Jim Beaugez brings decades of experience in music and cultural reporting. His work explores the South’s creative heartbeat and the people keeping its stories alive.
Aallyah Wright
Editorial Contributor
Aallyah Wright is a Mississippi Delta native and award-winning journalist whose work centers on people and place. She currently works full-time with Capital B News and contributes to Amplify The Sip through profiles and feature stories highlighting Mississippi’s culture and community.
